The Chairman of the Board of Directors of City Squares Company, Mr. Mohammed bin Rashid bin Adwan Al-Muzaibari, praised the tireless efforts made by the Sultanate of Oman to promote and attract foreign investments by updating legislation, laws and regulations for investment, creating the appropriate environment for starting a business, digital transformation in all services provided to investors, and providing incentives and advantages for those wishing to invest in the Sultanate of Oman. In addition to strengthening the Sultanate of Oman's global competitive position. Al-Muzaibari stressed that the volume of foreign direct investments in the Sultanate of Oman exceeded 22.1 billion Omani riyals until the end of the second quarter of 2023, while the volume of trade exchange between the Sultanate of Oman and the countries of the world until July 2023 reached 21.2 billion Omani riyals.

The United Kingdom ranked first among the countries investing in the Sultanate of Oman until the second quarter of 2023 with 10.9 billion Omani riyals, followed by the United States of America with investments of 3.7 billion Omani riyals, and China with investments of 1.2 billion Omani riyals. The UAE with RO 911.1 million, Kuwait with RO 742.5 million, Qatar with RO 420.4 million, followed by Bahrain with RO 369.5 million, India with investments of RO 278.4 million, and Netherlands and Switzerland with investments of RO 286.8 million and RO 180.4 million respectively.
